The year is 2012, Dante Chan(his dad was eastern) 14…was Yolande's son, they stayed in Vanderbijlpark, Vaal triangle, and she wanted to pick him up after cricked practice at his friend house a 3rd year student Mario Engelbrecht, then 20. What she found, I do believe as a mother, will never ever be forgotten; she picked up her child’s lifeless body from the driveway with a steak knife protruding from his chest….Report state it was chaos after that, the blood the mom’s voice and cries could be heard for miles. Dante was stabbed 36 times…. This was a passion kill according to Mario Engelbrecht, because Dante didn’t want to get into a relationship with him, Mario had an obsession that took a life...Mario Engelbrecht was sentenced to 18 years in prison. It was premeditated because Mario bought the knife the previous day, as seen on CCTV. This story touched a lot of souls in the Vaal. Dante neighbor was Kapt Wilken SAP, who opened a help building for homeless and helpless people a month before Dante murder, but never gave it a name….but he named it “Dante Chan Christelike Sentrum” and still today helps and feeds people.
